Hope Burns Bright: A Young Justice/Green Lantern Fan Showcase
WHY SHOULD CARTOON NETWORK RENEW YOUNG JUSTICE AND GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES?
FANS HAVE A FEW ANSWERS.
Fans of Young Justice and Green Lantern: The Animated Series were asked to say, in six seconds or less, why they believe that these two shows should be renewed. This project is intended to show Cartoon Network, Warner Bros., and DC Comics the faces of the people their decisions have affected, to have them look us in the eye and hear what we have to say in montage form — because an avalanche of small messages conveys magnitude, and the time limit requires sincerity.
And each one of these is sincere, and personal. 130 fans came together with signs and short messages to make this into a montage of great magnitude. Within it are the many, many real people who care fiercely about both of these shows and have been campaigning for months and months to have their voices be heard by Cartoon Network, DC Comics, and Warner Bros. Animation.
This is only a fraction of the viewers of these shows. But it’s a memorable and driven fraction indeed.
A huge, enormous thank you and congratulations to everyone who contributed to this video – you are all so awesome, and this would be nothing without you!
TWEET IT. REBLOG IT. FACEBOOK IT. Spread it.
SIDE NOTE! I don’t know how many people will actually see this, BUT:
.wlmp files are not video files. They are the project files. You will need to export the project file in Windows Live Movie Maker as a video file so it can be added; otherwise I can’t do anything with it!
weLL THE FILE IS TOO BIG TO BE UPLOADED TO TUMBLR but at the moment there are 89 clips (not counting a few that were sent with weird file types and are in the process of being converted) so
we might break 100
just get it in by april 6th in whatever time zone/corner of the world you are
EEP, I believe in you! <3
Here you go! It’s also in my sidebar for easy nabbing:
So far we have 31 people!! :D
Can’t wait to see what you send in!
mrs-red-fox replied to your post: Friendly reminder that if you’re not yet a part of…
Is it Americans only?
I dunno which would be more practical, but at this point I’m taking anybody, haha.
Because a lot of people saying small things has a greater impact than a few people saying big things. Cartoon Network needs to see the quantity of its fans, even if it’s just a relatively small fraction. The project is about how many people there are who care about these shows, and giving each person five seconds of time to say what they need to leaves room for many, many contributors, and creates a larger scope.
Twelve people can speak in one minute. Twenty-four can speak in two. And even those numbers are, in comparison to the thousands of fans I see on the Internet every day, incredibly small. So we need as many people as we can possibly get, which is why the time limit for messages is short. c:
Videos are preferred, but if you can only do a recording of your voice then that’s okay.
